The Prayer Shawl and Sew 4 Jesus ministry members use their creative talents for knitting, crocheting and quilting to provide shawls or quilts for those in need. Shawls are knitted or crocheted for the sick, those recovering from surgery, or the infirm of our parish. Baby shawls are made for the newly baptized. Members of Sew for Jesus have created quilts for various groups serving those in need such as pregnancy outreach centers, homes for unwed moms, the local nursing home and assisted living facility, domestic abuse shelters, etc. With each handmade item that is given away, also goes our love and prayers for its recipient.
The combined groups meet the 3rd Tuesday in March, May, September
and November at 10:30 am in the Gathering Room.

Our mission is to reach out to the sick and homebound parishioners. We make and distribute shawls and pray for the sick. Our group helps the life of the parish by bringing love, hope and comfort to our people. It lets them know they are not forgotten or abandoned by their church community. It also is very beneficial to the people who participate in this ministry. We are a connected group of women who love the Lord and want to contribute our time and talents and share God’s love for his people.
We meet on the first Monday of the month in the Parish Office.
