Our three committees work on a rotating basis to provide side dishes and desserts for Funeral Luncheons. Help is needed to set-up, clean-up, serve, and provide dishes.

These ministers meet with families to help plan the funeral readings, music, and other elements of the Funeral Mass. Hands on training is provided.

Held the second Thursday of November each year, the Mass of Remembrance celebrates our deceased loved ones that we have lost over the past year. A reception is held after the Mass, with a video display of the loved ones shown while refreshments are provided.

Parish Neighbors does not have meetings. Our group was organized to provide a meal after funerals for our parishioners. We have some that provide dishes to serve and others work to serve and assist the family and friends. We are always looking for additional volunteers both male and female. The Journey with Grief group meets the second Monday of the month at 1:00 p.m. in St. Joseph's sacristy.

The purpose of these meetings are:

• To have a place to share our experiences.
• To have information available relating to grief and loss.
• To discuss tools to use while working through the grief process.
• To have hope - there is a beginning and an end - to the grieving process.
